Nantucket Basket Planter Weaving Class

DESCRIPTION

Join us for a 3-hour workshop where attendees will create a beautiful and timeless Nantucket style planter on Friday, March 21nd at 5:15pm. Maura has been weaving and teaching the art of Nantucket Basket weaving for years for herself, loved ones, and devoted customers from her shop Nantucket Light Design. 

In this workshop, students will create a beautiful 5" x 5" planter (measurements approximate). Using a galvanized mold students will learn weaving techniques such as seaming and flossing. Using hardwood cherry base, rim, and staves you will produce a beautiful piece to admire for years to come. You can finish it off with an acrylic scallop shell for an extra pop (additional fee, by request)

The class price includes all materials and hands-on instruction.
