You’ll assist customers with selecting needlepoint projects and fibers, provide helpful project advice, and ensure the store remains organized, inviting, and inspiring. Ideal for someone who loves people, has a creative streak, enjoys working in a calm, community-driven environment, and loves needlepoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer questions, provide perspective, and make needlepoint feel accessible and welcoming.
- Execute core responsibilities like assisting customers select thread, projects, accessories, taping canvases, light cleaning, restocking, and assisting the Store Manager with tasks as needed.
- Ensure everyone walking through the door has a positive experience and leaves wanting to return.
Requirements:
- Passionate & knowledgeable needlepointer
- Experience with customer service and/or a love for customer interaction and socializing

The Retail Operations Associate supports the day-to-day operational success of the Chicago storefront by ensuring inventory is accurately stocked, organized, and readily available for customers and the retail team. This role is primarily focused on maintaining a well-merchandised sales floor through routine restocking, inventory movement, and operational support.
Working closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, the Retail Operations Associate helps execute weekly operational priorities while working independently to identify opportunities for improvement. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and creating efficient systems behind the scenes that support an exceptional customer experience.
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 25 hours per week, with the majority of scheduled hours occurring on Mondays and Fridays.
