Job Overview:

The Store Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and overall performance of The Classic Stitch retail store. This role leads the store team, drives sales and customer experience, and manages merchandising, inventory, and operational standards. The Store Manager also partners closely with the founders and cross-functional teams to execute company initiatives and support continued growth.

The ideal person for this role is hardworking, customer-focused, solution-oriented, and a passionate and expert needlepoint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own daily performance, sales, and operational standards.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop store associates.
• Deliver exceptional service and foster community relationships.
• Maintain visual standards, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
• Identify opportunities and execute initiatives that improve store performance.

Job Overview:

The Retail & Ecommerce Operations Associate supports both our Chicago storefront and Ecommerce team. This role helps ensure store inventory is accurately stocked, organized, and readily available while executing weekly operational priorities alongside the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. The Associate also manages the ecommerce customer service inbox, resolves customer and order-related issues, and partners with the Head of Digital to improve the customer experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and creating efficient systems while balancing hands-on retail operations with thoughtful customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate, organized, and fully stocked inventory across the sales floor and storage areas.
• Build kits, transfer inventory between locations, and support merchandising, seasonal resets, and inventory counts.
• Manage the ecommerce customer service inbox and resolve customer questions and order-related issues thoughtfully and efficiently.
• Partner with retail and ecommerce leadership to execute weekly priorities, communicate recurring issues, and improve processes.
• Independently identify and solve operational challenges while taking ownership of assigned projects from start to finish.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Independent, reliable, and self-motivated, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong written communication skills and confidence handling customer service issues via email.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds and stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer questions, provide perspective, and make needlepoint feel accessible and welcoming.
• Execute core responsibilities like assisting customers select thread, projects, accessories, taping canvases, light cleaning, restocking, and assisting the Store Manager with tasks as needed. 
• Ensure everyone walking through the door has a positive experience and leaves wanting to return.

Requirements:
