Job Overview: 

The Store Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and overall performance of The Classic Stitch retail store. This role leads the store team, drives sales and customer experience, and manages merchandising, inventory, and operational standards. The Store Manager also partners closely with the founders and cross-functional teams to execute company initiatives and support continued growth.

The ideal person for this role is hardworking, customer-focused, solution-oriented, and a passionate and expert needlepoint. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Own daily performance, sales, and operational standards.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop store associates.
• Deliver exceptional service and foster community relationships.
• Maintain visual standards, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
• Identify opportunities and execute initiatives that improve store performance.

Requirements:

• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable solving day-to-day challenges.
• Able to meet the physical demands of a hands-on retail environment, including lifting up to 40 pounds.

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Associate to join our team part-time. You’ll assist customers with selecting needlepoint projects and fibers, provide helpful project advice, and ensure the store remains organized, inviting, and inspiring. Ideal for someone who loves people, has a creative streak, enjoys working in a calm, community-driven environment, and loves needlepoint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer questions, provide perspective, and make needlepoint feel accessible and welcoming.
• Execute core responsibilities like assisting customers select thread, projects, accessories, taping canvases, light cleaning, restocking, and assisting the Store Manager with tasks as needed. 
• Ensure everyone walking through the door has a positive experience and leaves wanting to return.

Requirements:

• Passionate & knowledgeable needlepointer
• Experience with customer service and/or a love for customer interaction and socializing
• Ability to multi-task
• Extreme attention to detail 
• Strong organizational skills
• Positive and upbeat solution-oriented problem solver

You’ll lead sewing classes for students of beginner and intermediate skill levels, create a welcoming and encouraging classroom environment, and help students build confidence in their sewing abilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about sewing, loves teaching and connecting with people, and enjoys being part of a creative, community-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging, beginner-friendly sewing classes.
• Develop curriculum, lesson plans, projects, and materials.
• Prepare class supplies, tools, and samples.
• Provide hands-on instruction and a welcoming learning environment.
• Collaborate with the store team to improve and grow the sewing program.

Requirements:

• Passionate and knowledgeable about sewing.
• Previous teaching, workshop, or instructional experience preferred.
• Comfortable working with beginners.
• Friendly, patient, and approachable teaching style.
