The wedding bells have been ringing at TCS! Kendall and I were married in Boothbay Harbor, Maine on September 7th, 2024 and Mackenzie and Jack will be married this May in Florida. While planning my wedding, I of course wanted to incorporate needlepoint into our wedding day.
I worked with our custom painter, Devon, to design a ring bearer pillow with our wedding monogram. Stitching this gave me a new appreciation for a large rewarding basketweave project! I love how the pillow came to life - and loved that our ring bearers were able to use it on our special day. For my Dad, I stitched the
American Flag belt (with my sister's help!). The flags were the perfect nod to our boat, Freedom, which my Dad sailed up to Maine just for the wedding. I had the best intentions of finishing a belt for Kendall, but fell behind so that will have to wait for our one year anniversary!
Mackenzie stitched this
bamboo frame, which we used on the bar and will use at her wedding in May. My Matron of Honor, gifted me the classic
wedding cake ornament which she customized with our wedding date. I truly think there is nothing more special than a needlepoint gift!
Thank you all for the warm wedding wishes! It was the most wonderful day and we were so blessed to celebrate with our family & friends. Looking forward to celebrating Mackenzie & Jack in May.
In stitches,
Kathryn
