Central to needlepoint is the needlepoint ornament...so it comes as no surprise that ornaments are one of the most popular finishes for needlepoint. On doorknobs, bedposts, Christmas trees, wreaths, and garlands, stitched ornaments are a beautiful way to showcase our stitching work and the things you love. Wonderful gifts to others of mementos for yourself for all of life's memories and moments!
We work with professional finishers to bring stitched projects to life with the creative vision you bring to the table. The personalization and customization opportunities are endless (and I will be doing a blog post soon about decoding ornament finishing!).
High quality finishers are in high demand. It is a skill only a handful of people have and so it can take an extended period of time to receive your completed project back once you send it in for finishing! The price of the finishing also reflects the skill the finished piece requires to construct -- each layer painstakingly measured, stitched, attached.
Our finishing prices will be going up slightly as we pass on cost increases from our finishers based on their material increases. Beginning on February 15, 2024, all standard ornaments (i.e. round, oval, square, rectangle, approx. 4" in diameter) will be priced at $80. As before, customizations like embroidery or metalic cording, or peculiar shapes will be subject to an increased cost.
We hope that being up-front with these changes brings some transparency to the process, and we thank you for your understanding as we try to adjust our business to changes in the market.
